11th Remarkvill project; 825-square-meter community facility to include fitness center, book café

KT Estate will supply Remarkvill Mapo, a youth safe housing complex in Yeomni-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, targeting young singles and newlywed couples.

KT Estate announced Tuesday that apartment subscriptions for Remarkvill Mapo — the 11th project under its corporate rental housing brand Remarkvill — will run from Thursday through Sunday.

KT Estate is a comprehensive real estate company under the KT Group, established in 2010. It handles the full range of real estate operations, including development, investment, leasing, property management and asset management, and develops and operates offices, apartment complexes, hotels, corporate rental housing and commercial facilities. Remarkvill is its corporate rental housing brand.

Remarkvill Mapo rises up to 16 stories and comprises 499 units. The complex is being supplied through a real estate investment trust managed by Mastern Investment Management, with KT Estate handling investment and development and Mastern serving as the REIT's asset management company. KT Living will manage day-to-day operations.

A total of 425 units are available in this subscription round — 86 through special supply and 339 through general supply — open to young singles and newlywed couples. Applications can be submitted through the Remarkvill Mapo website. Move-ins are expected to begin at the end of next month, following winner announcements and contract signings.

The complex is a five-minute walk from Exit 2 of Daeheung Station on subway Line 6. Gongdeok Station, served by Lines 5 and 6, the Airport Railroad and the Gyeongui-Jungang Line, is also within walking distance. The location offers easy access to major business districts including Yeouido, Gwanghwamun and Yongsan.

Nearby universities include Sogang University, Yonsei University, Ewha Womans University and Hongik University. The Gyeongui Line Forest Park and Mangwon Han River Park are also close by.

Units are centered on one-room and one-and-a-half-room layouts. The one-room type comes in exclusive use areas of 30.04 square meters and 40.16 square meters, while the one-and-a-half-room type measures 53.89 square meters. The larger layout separates the bedroom from the living area and includes a pantry.

Rental terms can be adjusted to suit each tenant's financial situation, with the balance between the deposit and monthly rent made flexible. KT Estate said it plans to set rental rates in line with surrounding market prices and will operate a deposit conversion system.

An 825-square-meter community facility for residents will also be built, featuring a fitness center, yoga room, book café, multipurpose room, cafeteria and coin laundry.

"As housing costs continue to weigh on young people and newlywed couples, providing a stable living environment is essential," said Yoo Cheol-ho, head of KT Estate's development division. "We hope Remarkvill Mapo will contribute to housing stability for those who genuinely need it, backed by its location and residential services."

Remarkvill Mapo is the 11th Remarkvill project from KT Estate, following Remarkvill Jongno, which began accepting move-ins in August.
