Performances, experience booths and other participatory programs planned

Ulju-gun in Ulsan will hold the Eonyang Hanwoo Bulgogi Festival — the county's signature food festival — for three days from Oct. 9 to 11 at a vacant lot next to the Ulsan Exhibition and Convention Center in Gyotong-ri, Samnam-eup. The event returns to Eonyang for the first time in 10 years and aims to highlight the standing of the "Eonyang Hanwoo Bulgogi Special Zone," the country's only designated food special zone of its kind.

Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy a main performance stage alongside experience booths, a flea market, food trucks and photo zones, with a range of programs designed for families.

The opening ceremony on the first day begins at 6:30 p.m. and will feature performances by Son Bin-a, Jiwonie, Ssabi, Baek Su-jeong and Sugeun.

The second day features an energetic show stage headlined by Happiness, Friends and Lunatic Level 5, followed by a children's magic show, a community performance open to local residents, interactive games — including an O/X quiz and rock-paper-scissors — and an on-site noraebang.

On the final day, visitors can take part in a live hanwoo beef auction, and JCN's "Woori Dongne Gasuwang," a regional singing competition, will bring contestants from across the country to the festival stage.

Kim Seong-ryul, chairman of the Eonyang Hanwoo Bulgogi Festival organizing committee, said the event had been prepared as a participatory festival where both Ulju-gun residents and tourists could enjoy themselves together, given that it marks the festival's return to Eonyang after a decade.
