Piano trio performance launches Monday; art exhibition set for October

Willow House, a cultural complex created by renovating Yuhan's former headquarters, is launching a full slate of arts and cultural programming — including exhibitions and performances — for local residents and visitors.

Yuhan said Monday it is expanding Willow House's operational focus beyond the "opening and awareness" phase of this year toward "experience and repeat visits," rolling out cultural programs designed to give visitors a steady stream of things to see and enjoy.

Willow House plans to establish a regular schedule of events spanning classical music, popular music and traditional Korean music performances, as well as art exhibitions and book concerts. Ahead of full regular operations, the venue will run a series of pilot performances and exhibitions in the second half of this year.

The first of these takes place Monday at 7 p.m. at the Willow House Pavilion, where the Dongjak Music Association, ensemble Cielo and Sevils have co-organized a concert titled "Music Flowing Through the Gallery." The program features a piano, oboe and bassoon trio filling the autumn evening with chamber music.

On Oct. 14, Brasstree, a brass quintet affiliated with the Dongjak Music Association, will take the stage, followed by a performance by Ensemble Phase on Oct. 20. From Oct. 28 through Nov. 3, the Dongjak Art Association will hold an exhibition marking its 20th anniversary, adding further artistic depth to the space. Detailed event schedules will be announced through Willow House's official Instagram account.

"We are working closely with arts associations and cultural foundations both inside and outside the district to finalize the detailed schedule for 2027," a Willow House official said. "We aim to establish Willow House as a leading cultural hub in the community — a place where people can enjoy art in their everyday lives and want to keep coming back to."

Yuhan is transforming its historically significant former headquarters into an active cultural complex, going beyond a simple exhibition space as part of its centennial celebrations. The move reflects both a commitment to corporate social responsibility and a strategic effort to strengthen its identity as a community-friendly brand.
