Participants turn vehicle buying and ownership experience into content over three months
Top monthly performer earns 200,000 bonus points
All selected members get a three-day test drive of the Ineos Grenadier
Chabot Mobility, operator of the auto-commerce platform Chabot, announced Monday it is recruiting the first cohort of "Carfluencer," an ambassador program that turns automotive interest and driving experience into content and links the results to earning opportunities.
The name blends "car" and "influencer." Through the program, Chabot aims to advance what it calls a "cartech" concept — the idea that stories about cars, not just smart buying and maintenance, can generate real value. Participants share firsthand driving and vehicle-care tips that help other consumers make better decisions, while earning rewards for the content they produce.
Five members will be selected for the inaugural cohort. From October through December, each will produce four pieces of content per month covering topics of their choice — new-car comparisons with rival models, pricing and financing conditions, window-tinting criteria, vehicle maintenance tips, or any other automotive subject they have personally experienced.
The program's standout benefit is uncapped performance-based rewards. When a customer referred through a participant's content submits a valid service application, the creator earns 10,000 Chabot points per case; if the referral leads to an actual purchase, an additional 5 percent of the final payment amount is credited. One top performer each month receives a separate bonus of 200,000 points. Accumulated points can be spent like cash in the Chabot platform's points mall.
In addition, all selected members will receive a three-day test drive of the Ineos Grenadier, a purpose-built off-roader. The overall top performer at the end of the three-month period will receive a special award along with priority consideration to become an official Chabot creator and a mentor for the next cohort.
Applicants must have an interest in cars and mobility and operate a public social media account or blog; there is no minimum follower requirement. Applications are open through Oct. 6, with results announced Oct. 15.
"Experience gained from choosing and driving a car is the most reliable information for helping other consumers make better decisions," a Chabot Mobility official said. "Starting with Carfluencer, we will build a cartech culture where consumer experience becomes trustworthy content and that influence translates into tangible results for the creators."
Meanwhile, Chabot has been expanding its customer service offerings through various marketing initiatives, including the launch of Chabot Care, a service that covers everyday vehicle damage and auto insurance deductibles.
