Standard rooms get 'Beautyrest,' suites get 'Beautyrest Black'

Simmons announced Monday that it has supplied mattresses to all rooms at the recently opened Sheraton Jeju Hotel.

Of the hotel's 402 rooms, standard rooms are fitted with the "Beautyrest" model, while suites feature the "Beautyrest Black."

The supply agreement extended beyond mattresses to include room furniture and furnishings. Simmons also provided carpets, lighting, sofas and bedside tables. The hotel sourced all mattresses and furniture from a single supplier to create a unified design aesthetic across its guest rooms.

Simmons has maintained a steady presence in Jeju's hotel market. The company supplied mattresses to Grand Joseon Jeju in 2021, Parnas Hotel Jeju in 2022, JW Marriott Jeju Resort & Spa in 2023, and The Siena Primo last year.

Outside Jeju, Simmons has supplied mattresses to hotels that opened or were renovated in the past five years, including Westin Seoul Parnas, Shilla Monogram Gangneung, Conrad Seoul, Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas, Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, Cassia Sokcho, Daegu Marriott Hotel & Residences, Joseon Palace Seoul Gangnam, Lotte Hotel World and Inspire Entertainment Resort.

Simmons mattresses are also in use at Four Seasons Hotel, Signiel Seoul and Busan, Seoul and Jeju Shilla Hotel, JW Marriott Hotel Seoul, Paradise City, Grand Walkerhill and Vista Walkerhill.

Hotel rooms have become one of the key business-to-business sales channels in the bedding industry. Guest rooms also serve as a direct brand touchpoint for consumers, who can experience a mattress firsthand over an extended stay.
