Hyundai Motor will offer discounts on about 200 certified used vehicles — including the Grandeur, Palisade, Genesis G80 and GV70 — ahead of the Chuseok holiday. To mark the third anniversary of its certified used-car program, the automaker will also replace the driver's seat cover on select vehicles with brand-new units before delivery.

Hyundai Motor said the certified used-car "Chuseok BIG Festa" event runs Monday through Sept. 30.

About 200 vehicles are eligible for discounts. Hyundai models include the Grandeur, Palisade, Sonata and Avante, while Genesis models include the G80 and GV70. Prices and discount amounts for each vehicle are available on the Hyundai certified used-car website.

To mark the program's third anniversary, the company has also arranged an event replacing the driver's seat — the area that typically shows the most wear on a used car — with a new one.

Select Avante, Sonata and Grandeur models will have their driver's seat covers replaced with genuine Hyundai new parts before delivery. A total of 20 vehicles are included: six Avante, four Sonata and 10 Grandeur. The event ends early once all designated vehicles are sold.

Sales data from Hyundai's certified used-car program over the past three years reveals clear customer preferences.

Among Hyundai certified used cars, the Grandeur was the top seller, accounting for about 33% of total cumulative sales. The Santa Fe, Sonata, Avante and Tucson followed.

Within the Genesis lineup, the G80 commanded an even larger share — 44% of all Genesis certified used-car sales. The GV80 came in second at 21%, followed by the GV70 at 20%. Together, the G80, GV80 and GV70 accounted for 85 percent of Genesis certified used-car sales.

Since launching the certified used-car business, Hyundai Motor has handled the entire process in-house, from vehicle acquisition and condition inspection to reconditioning, sales and after-sales service. Each vehicle is checked across about 270 items and goes through maintenance and reconditioning at a dedicated center.

The program also uses a fixed-price policy with no haggling — vehicles sell at the listed price. Customers can check not only the price but also the condition and key history of each vehicle on the website and mobile app.

Post-sale warranty coverage has also expanded. This year, the company introduced "Warranty Plus," which provides an additional warranty period after the original vehicle warranty expires.

"Over the past three years, we have worked continuously to build a used-car buying environment that customers can trust," a Hyundai Motor official said. "Going forward, we will continue to set new standards in the used-car market with differentiated products and services that only a manufacturer can provide."

Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor has also been expanding customer touchpoints in the new-car buying process. This month, the company launched a showroom visit consultation reservation service, allowing customers to book an appointment directly through the Hyundai Motor or Genesis website by selecting their preferred showroom, date and time.
