The Korea Automobile & Mobility Industry Association (KAMA) signed an MOU with the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE) at the Automobile Hall in Seocho-gu, Seoul, aimed at the successful staging of the "2027 Seoul Mobility Show," the association said Wednesday.

Executives and staff from both organizations attended the signing ceremony that day, where they also discussed future directions for cooperation.

Under the agreement, the two organizations agreed to cooperate in developing and running programs linked to K-content during the 2027 Seoul Mobility Show, supporting cultural content development and workforce training programs, and backing activities and cooperation in other areas of mutual interest.

The two sides plan to expand the exhibition content of the 2027 Seoul Mobility Show — the country's largest automobile and mobility event — by incorporating elements of K-culture. This will present a new model of cooperation in which the mobility and cultural industries can grow together.

To this end, KAMA and KOFICE will jointly run cultural content programs at the venue of the 2027 Seoul Mobility Show. Alongside displays of mobility technology, the plan calls for various cultural experience events, test-drive programs and educational events to offer visitors more to see and enjoy.

In addition, the two organizations plan to continue operating support programs for developing cultural content and training related personnel.

"This is a meaningful attempt in the sense that the Seoul Mobility Show is expanding beyond a simple mobility exhibition into the realm of cultural convergence," said Jung Dae-jin, chairman of KAMA. "Building on this agreement, we will establish a new cooperative model where culture and industry meet, and develop the Seoul Mobility Show into an exhibition platform where technology and culture coexist."

The 2027 Seoul Mobility Show will run for 11 days, from April 1 to April 11, 2027, at Kintex in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

Meanwhile, KAMA has been actively pursuing various events and marketing activities to advance the domestic mobility industry, including co-hosting the "2026 Busan Mobility Show (BIMOS 2026)" with Bexco and the Korea Automotive Industry Cooperative Association in June.
