Inha University has again demonstrated its startup support capabilities, earning the top "excellent" rating in both the general and deep tech categories of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Pre-Startup Package evaluation.
The university's startup support center received the top rating as the lead institution in the general category of the Pre-Startup Package in last year's final evaluation, and recently earned the same rating in the deep tech category.
The recognition covers not only general startup support but also achievements in cutting-edge technology fields such as AI, biotech, semiconductors and robotics.
According to Inha University on Wednesday, the school has moved beyond simply providing startup funding to prospective entrepreneurs. Instead, it runs stage-by-stage programs covering business model refinement, prototype development, market entry, sales channel development and investment linkage.
The university draws on its convergence engineering-based technological capabilities, its investment support system, and a startup network connecting industry, academia, research institutes and the local community. This network supports the entire commercialization process — from idea discovery through product and service validation to market entry.
The evaluation shows that Inha University's startup support goes beyond funding alone, offering a system that carries prospective entrepreneurs through commercialization and growth stages.
The university's startup support center has also been selected as the second operating institution for the "Startup for All" project, which is open to any member of the public with a business idea, and is currently recruiting prospective entrepreneurs and startup companies.
Applications will be accepted through Sept. 17.
