Police booked comedian Lee Hyuk-jae on drunk driving charges after his vehicle struck a motorcycle in a crash.
According to Yonhap on Wednesday, the Yeonsu Police Station in Incheon is investigating Lee on charges of drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act, booking him without detention.
Lee is accused of driving under the influence on a road in Songdo-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, around 10 p.m. Tuesday, when he struck a motorcycle that was stopped at a traffic signal.
The motorcycle's driver reported the crash to police. A breath test showed Lee's blood alcohol level was between 0.03 percent and 0.08 percent, a range that results in license suspension.
"If the injured driver's injuries are confirmed, charges of causing bodily harm under the Special Act on Traffic Accident Cases may also apply," a police official said.
