Ulsan's Nam-gu will hold the 2026 Ulsan Nam-gu Riverside Film Festival over two days — Saturday and Sunday — at the Taehwa River's Third Floodplain.

This year's festival runs under the slogan "Play by Day, Movie by Night," combining a family picnic atmosphere during the day with evening performances and film screenings. The venue will feature picnic-style seating with mats and wooden tables, along with children's and family activities: a sand and balloon playground, sidewalk chalk sketching, bubble play, a dalgona candy-making experience, four-cut photo booths, special-effects makeup and a "spacing-out contest," an offbeat participatory event.

Food trucks will also be on hand along the Taehwa River, and a flea market featuring local small-business owners and vendors from Nam-gu's youth shopping arcade will operate throughout the festival.

On the opening day, Saturday, a ceremony will kick off at 7 p.m., followed by performances by singer Chae Yeon and local artists. Film screenings begin at 5 p.m. Saturday with "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Undersea Castle" and "The King's Warden," while Sunday's program features "Kung Fu Panda 4" and "Salmokjiga."
