Starting Tuesday, sessions run every Tuesday and Thursday — Tuesdays dedicated to tax and accounting, Thursdays covering all aspects of reconstruction projects
Gangnam-gu is expanding its face-to-face expert consultation service for reconstruction residents to twice a week starting Tuesday, offering direct answers to complex questions about taxes, legal matters and project procedures.
The district is adding a new Tuesday session dedicated to tax and accounting matters, complementing the existing Thursday consultations to create a comprehensive advisory system covering all aspects of redevelopment projects.
The service marks the first public consultation program under the "Rapid Expert Support Team," which operates under the district mayor's directly supervised "Gangnam Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force." The district reorganized its existing advisory panel into three teams — conflict mediation, expert advisory and public consultation — staffed by 41 specialists including lawyers, legal clerks, architects and certified appraisers.
Every Tuesday, tax accountants and certified public accountants will focus on reconstruction-related tax and accounting issues — areas residents have long found difficult to navigate on their own, such as tax burdens arising during the reconstruction process and cooperative accounting. On Thursdays, specialists including architects, appraisers, lawyers and legal clerks will rotate in to cover the full range of redevelopment matters.
Sessions run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at the Reconstruction Project Division Task Force advisory conference room on the fifth floor of the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center. Residents interested in reconstruction or other redevelopment projects may walk in without an appointment. Consultation schedules by date are available through district promotional materials, and subscribers to Gangnam-gu's reconstruction information text alert service will receive session schedules by text message.
"Reconstruction involves complicated procedures on top of tax issues, and many residents feel lost about where to turn," District Mayor Kim Hyun-gi said. "We will strengthen expert consultations to quickly resolve residents' questions and support the smooth progress of their projects."
