Two organizations to collaborate on joint overseas expansion

The Overseas Construction Association of Korea signed an MOU with the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange on Monday to promote the convergence of cultural content and overseas construction for joint international expansion.

The two organizations plan to cooperate on sharing information across overseas construction, urban development, international cultural exchange and cultural content; linking the K-City initiative with each organization's projects; identifying overseas business opportunities and building networks for participating companies and association members; and supporting the joint overseas expansion of the construction and content sectors.

"Overseas construction has recently been evolving beyond physical infrastructure to encompass culture and lifestyle as well," Overseas Construction Association Chairman Han Man-hee said. "If the foundation's expertise in cultural content and its global network are combined with K-City, our culture and content can be realized more concretely in cities and spaces abroad."

The two organizations plan to expand practical joint projects and strengthen ties among participating companies to continuously pursue the overseas expansion of both the construction and cultural content industries.

Meanwhile, the Overseas Construction Association supports domestic construction companies in securing overseas contracts through its K-City convergence platform.
