Parata Air, which marks its first anniversary on Sept. 30, is celebrating with ticket discounts and a prize draw — and expanding its international network to China following routes to Japan and Vietnam.

The airline said it will run a "first anniversary promotion" on its official website from Monday through Sept. 16.

The event is split into two phases. The anniversary promotion launches Monday at 1 p.m., with a separate promotion added Thursday at 10 a.m. to mark the debut of the airline's first China route, Incheon–Shenzhen.

Special fares will be available for both domestic and international routes during the promotion period. Japan routes start from 73,700 won ($54) and Vietnam routes from 120,100 won. The discounted fares are valid for travel from Monday through March 27 next year.

Drawing on the symbolism of one year — 365 days — the airline will hold a prize draw for 365 customers. Those who purchase round-trip tickets during the promotion period will be entered into a lottery for business- and economy-class round-trip tickets and aircraft model kits.

Business-class round-trip prizes cover the Tokyo Narita, Hanoi and Shenzhen routes. Economy-class prizes include a choice of international round-trip tickets to Tokyo Narita, Osaka or Shenzhen, as well as domestic round-trip tickets.

The standout addition in this promotion is Shenzhen. Parata Air will operate the Incheon–Shenzhen route four times a week starting Nov. 1 — its first China route — extending its network beyond Japan and Vietnam.

The prize draw is open to customers who purchase round-trip tickets departing on or after Oct. 12. Winners will be notified individually on Sept. 29.

Parata Air has also been expanding its fleet ahead of its first anniversary. Last month it added an A330-200 as its fifth aircraft, bringing its total to five — two A320-200s and three A330-200s. The airline is also preparing to launch routes to the Americas in the first half of next year using the A330.

The newly added A330-200 is configured with 260 seats — 18 in business smart class and 242 in economy. The airline is also pursuing in-flight Wi-Fi using low-earth-orbit satellite communications, with an eye toward expanding long-haul routes.

"Thanks to the attention and support of every customer who chose Parata Air over the past year since our launch, we have been able to maintain stable operations," an airline official said. "We prepared this event to give back our gratitude for one year — 365 days — to 365 customers."

The official added that the airline would "consistently expand routes and services so that customers can travel comfortably to an ever-wider range of destinations, starting with our first China route to Shenzhen."
