Long-term partnerships to sharpen travel product competitiveness
Gyowon Tour is stepping up efforts to deepen cooperation with domestic and international airlines, pursuing a strategy to secure stable seat allocations and sharpen the competitiveness of its travel products.
The travel company announced Monday that it hosted the "Gyowon Tour Airline Appreciation Night" on Saturday along the Han River, with representatives from full-service carriers, low-cost carriers and foreign airlines in attendance.
Gyowon Tour President and CEO Jang Dong-ha joined company executives and airline representatives at the event. Attendees shared a dinner cruise on the Han River, exchanging views on cooperation strategies and travel market trends, before watching the Yeouido fireworks festival together.
This was the second dedicated networking event Gyowon Tour has held with airlines this year. In January, the company invited representatives from major domestic low-cost carriers and foreign airlines to a new year meeting, where it shared its business direction for the year. At the time, Gyowon Tour identified strengthening its premium package tour lineup as a key priority, announcing plans to improve route and seat management efficiency through airline partnerships and diversify travel products by theme.
For package tour operators, airline partnerships are a critical factor shaping both product offerings and price competitiveness. The ability to secure seats on popular routes during peak seasons expands the range of products a travel agency can offer, making long-term cooperation between travel companies and airlines increasingly important.
"Partnerships with airlines are a vital foundation for the stable operation and competitiveness of our travel products," a Gyowon Tour official said. "We will continue to build long-term partnerships with airlines and use them as a basis for consistently delivering competitive products."
