General Motors Korea said Monday that President Hector Villarreal, Vice President of Sales, Service and Marketing Gustavo Colossi, and Executive Director of Aftersales Service Choi Eun-young visited the GM Korea Suwon Service Center on Friday to review customer service operations and maintenance procedures.

Spanning 3,100 square meters across three above-ground floors, the Suwon center serves as a key service hub for southern Gyeonggi Province. It features 20 work bays — including functional, body and paint booths — and is equipped to handle large vehicles such as the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Sierra, as well as electric vehicle maintenance including high-voltage battery replacement.

The center provides maintenance services across GM Korea's multi-brand portfolio, covering Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC and Buick, which is set to launch in South Korea in the second half of this year. Through AC Delco, a global aftermarket parts and service brand, the center also services non-GM vehicles.

"The customer experience extends throughout the entire ownership journey after a vehicle purchase, and the service center is the most important touchpoint where customers directly experience the GM brand," Villarreal said. "We will continuously strengthen the on-site capabilities of service centers nationwide and actively incorporate customer feedback into our services, so that we can deliver a consistent and trustworthy customer experience regardless of location."

Kim Won-sik, director of the GM Korea Suwon Service Center, said all service centers across the country receive systematic support from GM Korea, including training on new vehicles and maintenance technology, service training and high-tech technical assistance. "Through close collaboration between the service centers and GM Korea, we will continue to raise our maintenance expertise and operational capabilities," he said.

GM Korea operates service centers nationwide, including the Suwon facility. The national service network ranges from specialized centers handling routine inspections and consumable replacements to full-service centers capable of a broader range of repairs. About one-third of all centers are equipped for advanced maintenance work, including repairs on large models, high-voltage systems and electric vehicle batteries.

To support the technical capabilities of its nationwide network, GM Korea operates three maintenance service technology centers — in Daejeon, Jeonju and Changwon — and one maintenance high-tech center in Incheon's Bupyeong district. The technology centers provide specialized technical support for complex diagnostics and advanced-technology vehicles, while the high-tech center handles technical support and knowledge transfer for service centers nationwide, as well as training on domestically sold vehicles and responses to complex repair cases.

"Building on our multi-brand strategy, we will offer domestic customers a diverse product portfolio while also enhancing our service competitiveness — enabling us to provide high-quality service based on GM headquarters-certified technology and standardized maintenance procedures at more competitive prices," GM Korea said.
