IU comeback tracklist [Provided by EDAM Entertainment]

IU is making her return. The singer, who had postponed a new album release due to a worsening case of patulous Eustachian tube, has decided to drop a digital single first.

Her agency EDAM Entertainment said Monday that IU will release the new single "From This Star" across all major streaming platforms at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Ahead of the release, IU unveiled a teaser video and tracklist for the single. The video features a vast cosmic backdrop with a giant planet, an astronaut and a paper airplane drifting between them. The song title shimmers and rises above the planet, lending the clip an air of mystery.

The digital single will include "From This Star" and "Dear My Crazy Soulmate." IU wrote the lyrics for both tracks herself, channeling her own voice and sensibility into each song.

The agency said the digital single offers an early preview of two tracks set to appear on IU's sixth full-length studio album, the release of which was previously delayed.

Music videos for both title tracks will also be unveiled in sequence. The video for "Dear My Crazy Soulmate" drops Monday, while the one for "From This Star" follows on Sept. 16.
