Event set for Saturday at Hankook Technoring in South Chungcheong Province
Third installment of the Drive Carmeet series
Wide range of hands-on programs planned
Hankook Tire & Technology's motor culture brand Drive will hold its third Carmeet event, "Gas & Juice by Drive," on Saturday at Hankook Technoring, Asia's largest tire test track, in Taean-gun, South Chungcheong Province, the company announced Monday.
A Carmeet is a car culture gathering where vehicle enthusiasts display their cars and share their tastes and passion for automotive culture. The format brings together a wide variety of vehicles — from vintage and classic cars to supercars and custom builds — that are rarely seen in one place. Hankook Tire & Technology has been running the Drive Carmeet series this year to make car culture more accessible to a broader audience.
Starting with this event, the company has rebranded the Drive Carmeet series under the name "Gas & Juice," a nod to West Coast American car culture. The name reflects a vision of car enthusiasts coming together to share their passions, discover new experiences and build a positive automotive culture. The event has been scaled up to accommodate up to 500 vehicles and around 3,000 visitors.
A key feature of Gas & Juice is that it marks the first time Hankook Technoring has been opened to the general public, offering a car culture and driving experience distinct from previous Carmeet events. Running from noon to 6 p.m., the main zone will feature products from Hankook's global brand lineup — including the Ventus and Dynapro lines — alongside vehicle displays, drift show runs and contests.
The experience zone will offer hands-on programs using Hankook Technoring's test circuits, including runs on the high-speed oval and the dry handling circuit, as well as drift taxi rides, a drift school and an off-road taxi experience. The event will close with a gala show run in which participating vehicles drive together around the high-speed oval, which has a maximum banking angle of 38.87 degrees.
A range of brand experience booths will also be on hand. The T'Station booth will offer free safety inspections — including tire pressure and tread wear checks — performed by tire care specialists. Sponsors include Sonic Motors, the mobility lifestyle solution brand of Hankook & Company Group, along with Kolon Motors, Towncar, Puma, Red Bull, Mobil Korea Lubricants, Comein Wash, Queensberry Donut House, Yoajeong and Artist Bottle Club.
Tickets for Gas & Juice are available to both general visitors and vehicle participants through the Thehyundai Hi app until 6 p.m. Saturday.
"Through a range of projects spanning art, music and Carmeet events this year, we will continue to expand our customer touchpoints by driving the spread of motor culture," a Hankook Tire & Technology official said.
