Center to develop and commercialize customized seasoning ingredient solutions
Singapore becomes fourth global hub after Korea, US and Europe
CJ CheilJedang announced Monday that it has opened a Global Technical Center in Singapore to expand its food seasoning ingredient business.
The center develops technology for achieving desired flavors using the company's seasoning ingredients — including TasteNrich, CJ TIDE and the Add-Mi nucleotide solution — and supports customers in commercializing their products.
The Singapore facility is the fourth Global Technical Center CJ CheilJedang has built, following centers in Korea, the United States (Chicago) and the Netherlands (Wageningen). It will serve as a hub for seasoning ingredient-related technical support across the Asia-Pacific region. The company plans to deepen technology exchanges and collaboration with key customers in neighboring countries, led by its next-generation natural seasoning ingredient TasteNrich, and to expand its Asia-Pacific business.
CJ CheilJedang held an opening ceremony Tuesday at the center, located in Singapore's Biopolis research complex, with officials from the Singapore Economic Development Board and the South Korean Embassy in Singapore in attendance. From Wednesday through Friday, the company invited major customers from the surrounding region to preview its key seasoning and nutritional ingredient products and application solutions.
"The Singapore Global Technical Center will allow us to collaborate more closely with customers across the Asia-Pacific region," a CJ CheilJedang official said. "We will provide solutions that satisfy both health and taste, backed by our differentiated technology and product capabilities."
