LG Uplus is expanding its lifestyle membership perks for the Chuseok holiday season, covering everything from grocery shopping to dining out and day trips. The telecom company has prepared 53 partner benefits in total and will invite 5,000 customers — including those who have subscribed for 10 or more years — to the Hwadamsup garden in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province.

LG Uplus said Monday it has upgraded its U+2x2 membership program this month to focus on benefits that see high demand during the holiday period, spanning Chuseok grocery runs, holiday outings and family meals.

A key focus is expanding food and daily-essentials shopping perks through partners such as Kurly, Sajo Mall and Ottogi Mall, reflecting the added financial pressure many customers feel when buying food and household goods ahead of Chuseok. Alongside the 53 partner benefits, three new partners have been added: Unistudy, Wooparoo Odyssey and the Gourmet Bridge food court at Incheon Airport.

For Chuseok shopping and grocery needs, LG Uplus has lined up a series of timed deals: coupons worth up to 27,000 won ($20) at Kurly on Tuesday; up to 20,000 won off at Ourhome Mall on Sept. 15; up to 15,000 won off at Sajo Mall on Sept. 16, plus a 100-won soy sauce deal for VVIP and long-term customers; 20,000 won off at Greeting on Sept. 16; 15,000 won off at Ottogi Mall on Sept. 18; and up to 3,000 won off at E-mart24 on Sept. 24.

Outing benefits for families include up to 35 percent off admission at Aqua Planet on Tuesday; up to 30,000 won off domestic and overseas accommodation at Yeogieoddae on Thursday; 60 percent off car rental at Lotte Rent-a-Car G Car on Sept. 14; a free popcorn and beverage set at CGV on Sept. 18; and up to 50 percent off at Ocean World water park on Sept. 18.

Food and beverage deals targeting family customers include up to 55 percent off premium pizza at Pizza Hut on Tuesday; up to 8,000 won off at Coupang Eats x No More Pizza on Tuesday; up to 40 percent off yogurt ice cream at Baekmi-dang on Thursday; up to 25,000 won off at Mad for Garlic on Thursday; up to 50 percent off at Gong Cha on Sept. 14; a free Americano and popcorn at Baek-eok Coffee on Sept. 15; a free Americano with any slice cake purchase at A Twosome Place on Sept. 17; and up to 9,000 won off a family set at Baskin-Robbins on Sept. 22.

Alongside these perks, LG Uplus will run a large-scale invitation program for long-term customers, inviting 5,000 people to Hwadamsup in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province on Oct. 19. Customers who hold VVIP membership status and have used LG Uplus for at least 10 years can enter the Hwadamsup Customer Invitation Event through the U+one app through Sept. 18. Winners will receive one to four admission tickets per person.

LG Uplus described the Hwadamsup invitation as a long-term customer program designed to offer a differentiated experience beyond discount-focused benefits.

"We have strengthened food and lifestyle benefits for customers who feel the burden of Chuseok grocery shopping, and expanded culture and dining perks that families can enjoy together during the holiday," said Jang Jun-young, head of the marketing group at LG Uplus. "We will continue to expand the benefits and experiences customers can feel in their daily lives, based on our Simply U+ strategy."
