Lotte Super announced Monday it is partnering with Coupang Eats to run a quick-commerce service across more than 170 stores nationwide.
Under the arrangement, customers who place orders through the Coupang Eats app have their products picked directly from store shelves by Lotte Super employees. Store staff complete the picking within 15 minutes of receiving an order, and delivery is made within one hour of purchase.
More than 3,000 products are available for order, spanning fresh food, processed food and lifestyle goods. Deli items such as chicken, kimbap and sandwiches are also on offer. The minimum order amount is 15,000 won ($11).
Lee Kyu-hwan, head of the quick-commerce operations team at Lotte Mart and Lotte Super, said the company plans to stabilize the service while monitoring performance and customer response going forward.
