Singer Chungha has candidly explained why her appearance has changed.
Chungha appeared as a guest on KBS Cool FM's "Gabi's Super Radio," which aired Wednesday.
During the show, Chungha spoke about entering her 30s this year, saying, "I'm not sure what it means to feel like a grown woman — maybe I'm just overthinking it — but I keep seeing it go viral that I'm in my 30s, and it bothers me a little." She added, "I sometimes see posts saying, 'Chungha is already in her 30s?' I wish people would just assume I'm still in my 20s."
Host Gabi responded that being a grown woman suited her well and that she came across as mature, to which Chungha acknowledged, "I guess I have matured."
Gabi then said Chungha's face and overall vibe had become calmer, noting the change in her appearance.
"Maybe it's because I lost a lot of baby fat? Even I feel like it's gone — my friends ask if I've had shaving done on my face," Chungha said, referring to a cosmetic procedure that slims facial contours. Gabi agreed, saying, "Your jawline does look different."
On the subject of her prime years, Chungha said, "I'd rather be in my 30s than my 20s. I haven't lived through all of my 30s yet, so I can't say this is my prime — but I think it depends on how you define it."
Meanwhile, Chungha reunited with girl group I.O.I this year and made her comeback this month with a new digital single, "México."
