The Construction Mutual Aid Association announced Wednesday that it completed facility improvement work at a community children's center in Eunpyeong-gu, in partnership with Plan Korea, an international relief and development NGO, and held a staff volunteer activity at the site.

The initiative was part of the association's flagship corporate social responsibility program, the "Pureunkkum Jaramteo" project, which renovates living spaces for underprivileged children. The association provided advance funding for construction that transformed the center's interior — which had deteriorated and become difficult to use — into a more comfortable environment.

Volunteers from the association's CG Love Sharing Corps then visited the site to carry out finishing work, including a thorough cleaning of the center.

The program, launched in 2018, has executives and employees directly participating in the renovation of buildings where disadvantaged children live. It has since become a representative corporate social responsibility model that draws on the association's expertise in the construction industry.

A volunteer who took part in the activity said, "I felt the joy of giving as I tidied up the children's living space with my own hands," adding, "I hope this small effort becomes a great gift for the children."

The association said it would "fulfill its social responsibilities so that children, who are the future of our communities, can freely pursue their dreams without gaps in their residential and educational environments," and pledged to "continue practicing social contribution activities for marginalized neighbors."

Meanwhile, the association is continuing company-wide efforts to minimize the impact of external risks and exceed its management targets this year, centered on its Financial Performance Management Committee — an emergency management control tower launched in May.
