Attention is turning to whether singer Kim Jong-kook will perform at the wedding of actor Ji Ye-eun and dancer Bata, after the couple announced their marriage plans.

Ji's agency CP Entertainment and Bata's agency Aira officially announced the couple's marriage plans Wednesday in a joint statement.

According to both sides, the two will hold a ceremony in Seoul on Dec. 12.

Ji's agency said the couple "have promised to share their lives together on the foundation of deep trust," adding, "We ask for your warm congratulations and support as they embark on this new chapter." The announcement confirmed that Ji and Bata, whose relationship had already been public, are set to wed.

With the news spreading, a past broadcast clip in which Ji asked Kim to sing at her wedding has resurfaced online.

In an episode of SBS's "Running Man" that aired in February, Kim was dining with Ji and singer Roy Kim when he asked Roy Kim what he thought of Ji in person. Roy Kim replied that she was "even prettier" in real life and very popular, saying that when he told people he was appearing on "Running Man," all anyone wanted to talk about was host Yoo Jae-suk and Ji.

Kim then asked whether any of the male friends who had expressed interest in Ji were single and decent, to which Roy Kim said there were. Kim responded with a satisfied "perfect" and shook hands with Ji. When Ji floated the idea of a wedding song, Kim laughed and said, "I'll do the wedding song."

Ji and Bata were both born in 1994 and are said to have met through the same church. The wedding announcement comes just five months after they confirmed their relationship in April.
