Service center network to reach 26 locations by year-end

BYD Korea opened its 37th passenger vehicle showroom, BYD Auto Pyeongtaek, on Wednesday to improve customer access in southern Gyeonggi Province.

The showroom sits on a 2,956-square-meter lot with a total floor area of 572.2 square meters. It can display up to six vehicles and is equipped with 64 self-parking spaces, one fast charger and three standard chargers, allowing customers to browse models, take test drives and receive consultations.

The facility is about a three-minute walk from Pyeongtaek Jije Station, served by Seoul Subway Line 1, KTX and SRT, making it accessible by public transit. Its proximity to Godeok International New Town is expected to make it a key hub where customers in Pyeongtaek and the broader southern Gyeonggi region can experience BYD's vehicle lineup and electrification technology firsthand.

With the Pyeongtaek opening, BYD Korea's domestic passenger showroom network has grown to 37 locations, surpassing the company's original target of 35 for this year. The company plans to continue expanding its nationwide sales network to improve customer access and convenience.

BYD Korea is also strengthening its service network. The company currently operates 20 service centers nationwide and aims to expand that number to 26 by year-end, making maintenance and repair services more accessible to customers after purchase.

"As electrified vehicles become more widespread, it is increasingly important for customers to experience vehicles in person and compare options that fit their lifestyle," a BYD Korea official said. "We will continue to expand opportunities for customers to experience BYD's technology and products close to where they live, and deliver a differentiated customer experience across the entire journey — from purchase to service."

Meanwhile, BYD Korea recently began domestic deliveries of the Sea Lion 6 DM-i, broadening its passenger lineup beyond electric vehicles to include plug-in hybrid electric vehicles as it steps up its push into the electrification market.
