Boo Young Group announced Wednesday that it will invest 600 million won ($438,000) this year to improve the educational environment at Changsin University.

The group said it will provide about 250 million won to build a multipurpose community facility inside the university's social sciences building, housing a faculty and staff cafeteria as well as spaces for receiving guests and holding business meetings. Earlier this year, in March, Boo Young provided about 370 million won for campus environment improvement works.

Boo Young has been an active financial contributor to Changsin University since 2019, providing full first-year scholarships to all incoming students each year — with nursing department students receiving 50 percent — and running employment-linked programs to strengthen students' job competitiveness.

Cumulative scholarship support from the group to the university has reached 8.9 billion won. Through its "Boo Young Track" program, which connects students with group worksites, 113 students have received hands-on field experience, and 20 of them have since been hired by the group.

Backed by this extensive support, Changsin University achieved a 100 percent freshman enrollment rate for the fifth consecutive year in its 2026 admissions cycle.

"We will spare no effort in supporting improvements to the educational environment so that Changsin University can grow into a destination for top talent from across the country," a Boo Young Group official said.

Meanwhile, Boo Young Group posted sales of 1.13 trillion won last year and swung to a profit, recording operating profit of 254.7 billion won on the back of revenue from pre-sale conversions.
