Hyundai Elevator held its "2026 Life Sharing Campaign" over two days starting Monday at its Seoul office in Yeonji-dong and its Smart Campus in Chungju, the company announced Wednesday.

The campaign centered on blood donation and the making of Hickman pouches for children with pediatric cancer. A Hickman pouch is a protective cover used to hygienically manage the catheter tube through which chemotherapy drugs are administered.

The finished pouches will be donated to the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation. A total of 56 employees took part in the blood drive, while 83 joined the blood donation certificate drive and the Hickman pouch making and donation activities.

To encourage participation, organizers also ran a range of on-site programs, including a stopwatch challenge, a lucky draw and prize events.

Hyundai Elevator has made participatory community service a core pillar of its ESG (environmental, social and governance) management. To encourage voluntary involvement, the company offers volunteer activity support and paid volunteer leave. This year's employee volunteer target stands at 4,200 hours, as part of a broader plan to embed community contribution into corporate culture.

"Corporate social responsibility becomes sustainable when employees genuinely connect with it and take part on their own initiative," a Hyundai Elevator official said. "We will continue running programs — blood drives, crafting, donations and volunteering — that let anyone practice sharing in their daily lives, so that employee-driven ESG management takes root as part of our corporate culture."

Hyundai Elevator has been actively expanding employee-led giving activities over the past three years. In July, employees handmade block pencil cases and delivered them along with 2,600 school supplies to children in East Asia. Last month, 70 employees took part in a natural soap-making campaign.

Last year, the company assembled and donated 213 solar lanterns for children and teenagers in areas with inadequate power infrastructure. It also delivered more than 130 used laptops to schools in educationally underserved regions and donated 2,200 employee items to Goodwill Store.
