Concerts and more on offer — event tied to 'Hope Day' at Dipolis Knowledge Industry Center plaza
From cultural performances to health, labor and youth policy consultations — culture and welfare in one place on your way home
Geumcheon-gu will hold "Geumcheon Night Season 3," a cultural event for G-Valley workers, on Sept. 17 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Dipolis Knowledge Industry Center plaza (606 Seobusaetgil).
Geumcheon Night brings together G-Valley business owners, workers and local residents to enjoy cultural performances and connect with one another. The event runs in conjunction with "Hope Day," organized by the Dipolis Knowledge Industry Center in Geumcheon's G-Valley.
Now in its third year, Geumcheon Night has become an annual occasion to broaden cultural access for G-Valley workers and share district news. Last year's edition drew more than 2,500 participants and received a strong response.
This year's event has been expanded to include health, labor and youth policy information and consultation programs alongside the cultural performances, allowing workers to enjoy live entertainment and practical welfare services close to their workplace on the way home.
The "G-Valley Workers Integrated Consultation Booth" will offer information and counseling on labor, health and welfare. From 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., visitors can also consult with attorneys and tax accountants. Attorney consultations are available by advance registration via QR code or on-site sign-up; tax accountant consultations are available on a walk-in basis.
A booth run by the Seoul Youth Center Geumcheon Chunchunbbilding will introduce "G-Valley Workers," a professional networking program for young workers in G-Valley, and provide guidance on youth policy support tailored to individual circumstances.
A special video exhibition, "Geumcheon Suni's House," will offer a comparative look at the lives of workers in the former Guro Industrial Complex and those in today's G-Valley, adding a distinctive attraction to the event. A dedicated corner promoting the hometown love donation program will also be set up to inform visitors about the program and how to participate.
From 6 p.m., the Hope Day festivities will kick off alongside the cultural performances.
Unlimited beer will be served and dosirak will be sold for 1,000 won, with prize draws adding to the fun. A concert by a professional performance team and club performances by Dipolis groups will follow, offering a stage for audiences of all ages.
"We put this event together so that workers can enjoy cultural performances and access a wide range of lifestyle information and consultations all in one place, right near their workplace on the way home," Geumcheon-gu District Mayor Choi Ki-chan said. "We will continue to provide diverse cultural and welfare support so that members of Geumcheon's G-Valley community can maintain a healthy work-life balance and live with vitality."
