Gimcheon in North Gyeongsang Province will host a job fair at the fourth-floor conference room of the Gimcheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday, bringing together local companies and job seekers in a bid to ease hiring shortages and expand employment opportunities.
The event is co-organized by the Gimcheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the North Gyeongsang Employers' Federation and the Gimcheon Employment and Welfare Plus Center.
Nine local companies will participate, conducting one-on-one on-site interviews. Job seekers can meet directly with company recruiters, gather detailed hiring information and explore positions suited to their backgrounds.
The fair will also feature a range of supporting programs, including employment consulting by affiliated agencies and labor law counseling. Additional booths will offer beauty and image-making services, ID photo shoots and career tarot readings to help job seekers prepare and stay motivated.
"The Gimcheon job fair is expected to serve as an effective platform where hiring companies and job seekers communicate directly, narrowing the job-matching gap and lowering the employment barrier for local youth," a Gimcheon city official said.
