3 public institutions sign on for shared data management systems this year

Company expands public-sector work on strength of national shared data platform experience

Data technology firm Datanuri is expanding its public-sector business after signing a series of data management system contracts with Korea Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation, Korea Airports Corporation and Korea Racing Authority.

Datanuri announced Tuesday that it has signed contracts with the three institutions to build and operate institutional shared data management systems.

The institutional shared data management system collects, processes and manages shareable data dispersed within an organization and links it to the national shared data platform. It standardizes each institution's data as a public data asset and supports data sharing and use among public institutions.

Shared data refers to data generated or acquired by public institutions that has been electronically processed and made available for use by other public institutions. The Ministry of Interior and Safety is working to establish an institutional shared data infrastructure and a pan-government data linkage and joint-use framework in line with amendments to the Act on Promotion of AI and Data-Based Administration.

Since 2023, Datanuri has built and operated institutional shared data management systems for the Ministry of Interior and Safety, Ministry of Environment, Korea Forest Service, Korea Meteorological Administration, Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, National Fire Agency, Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, Daegu Metropolitan City and the Korea Infrastructure Safety Corporation.

The company is also involved in pan-government data linkage projects beyond individual institutional systems. Datanuri carried out the first and second phases of the Ministry of Interior and Safety's national shared data platform project from 2024 to 2026, linking shared data across public institutions. This year, it has extended its client base to include Korea Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation, Korea Airports Corporation and Korea Racing Authority, continuing to win contracts in public data management and integration.

As the government expands AI use in the public sector, the need to standardize institutional data and link it across agencies is growing. When data is scattered across individual institutional systems, pan-government analysis and joint use are constrained — making it essential to first connect internal data management frameworks to the national-level platform.

"Building on our proven solutions and technical capabilities, we will continue to expand related projects so that shared data across institutions can be linked and managed in an integrated way."
