Yeungnam University of Science and Technology signed a memorandum of understanding with Haengbok Indie J on Monday at the Cheonma History Hall to cooperate on youth-employment matching and work-study program operations in the region.

The signing ceremony was attended by university President Lee Jae-yong, work-study program director Kim Chang-hwan and Youth-Business Matching Center head Kim Jong-gu, along with Haengbok Indie J CEO Lee Jong-chan, division head Lee Jae-min and other officials from both institutions.

Under the agreement, the university will provide local youth with information about Haengbok Indie J, support hiring linked to work-study programs, and operate work-study courses for vocational high school students in partnership with the company.

Haengbok Indie J will work to build a cooperative framework with affiliated vocational high schools and offer guidance and counseling to high school students on the National Employment Support System, support programs for enrolled high school students, and work-study program options.

"We hope this agreement will serve as a practical cooperation model — one that opens broader career and employment opportunities for vocational high school students and local youth, while connecting regional businesses with the talent they need," President Lee said.
