Korea Ocean Business Corp. is recruiting 12 entry-level employees to help chart new directions in maritime finance. The corporation opened applications Tuesday and will accept them through 4 p.m. on Sept. 15 via its recruitment website.

The hiring round will fill 12 grade-6 regular positions across three tracks: 9 in the general track, 2 in the veterans' affairs track and 1 in IT. To promote transparency and fairness, the corporation uses a blind screening process that conceals applicants' age, educational background, hometown and gender. Anyone who meets the corporation's language proficiency and other eligibility requirements and has no disqualifying record may apply.

A notable change this cycle is the introduction of an elective-subject system for the written examination in the general and veterans' affairs tracks, allowing candidates to choose between business administration and economics. Previously, the written test was split into an integrated major exam for general-track candidates and an IT major exam for the IT track. This cycle, the subject options for the general and veterans' affairs tracks have been broken down further.

The selection process proceeds through a document screening, a written examination and first and second rounds of interviews. Final successful candidates will be announced in mid-December and are scheduled to begin employment in late December.
