Dongguk University WISE Campus announced Tuesday that it will accept online applications for its 2027 early admissions cycle from 9 a.m. Monday through 6 p.m. Sept. 11.

The university plans to select 1,742 students through its early admissions quota, representing 94.1 percent of total enrollment.

For the 2027 cycle, the campus has introduced two new admissions tracks: the School Life Excellence track and the Regional Physician track.

The School Life Excellence track weighs academic records at 70 percent and document review at 30 percent. The Regional Physician track follows a comprehensive student record review process and applies the College Scholastic Ability Test minimum score requirement.

The method for calculating academic grades has also been revised.

For general departments — excluding Oriental Medicine and Medicine — all subjects in Korean, math, English, social studies and science, including career-elective courses, will be counted. The School Life Excellence and interview-based tracks will count only the top 10 subjects.

Applicants may apply to multiple curriculum-based tracks once per track, while the comprehensive student record track allows only one application.

Under the curriculum-based track, the Academic Excellence track — which selects students based entirely on academic grades — will admit 992 students; the Buddhist Recommended Talent track, 47; the Regional Talent (Curriculum) track, 61; the Regional Talent (North Gyeongsang Province–Curriculum) track, 16; the Interview track, which adds a 30 percent interview score on top of academic grades, 96; and the School Life Excellence track, which adds a 30 percent document score, 206.

Under the comprehensive student record track, Oriental Medicine, Medicine and Nursing will be evaluated through a two-stage process — Stage 1 based entirely on submitted documents, Stage 2 combining Stage 1 scores at 70 percent and an interview at 30 percent — with a total of 77 students to be selected.

The CSAT minimum score requirement applies only to applicants for medical-related programs — Oriental Medicine, Medicine and Nursing — across all tracks.

Initial acceptance results for early admissions are scheduled to be announced Nov. 6 for tracks without a CSAT minimum requirement and Dec. 18 for those with one.

Dongguk University WISE Campus will award a scholarship of 1 million won ($726) to initial acceptees and 500,000 won to first-round waitlist acceptees under the early admissions quota tracks, excluding Oriental Medicine and Medicine. An additional 1 million won will be given to second-year students in their first semester who graduated from high schools in Gyeongju, Pohang or Ulsan, also excluding Oriental Medicine and Medicine.
