Cheongsong-gun in North Gyeongsang Province announced Tuesday that it is opening the crape myrtle complex at Sansocafe Cheongsong Garden to the public.

Located in Singi-ri, Pacheon-myeon, Cheongsong Garden spans 138,000 square meters and draws large crowds every year with its vivid displays of crape myrtle blooms in a range of colors.

Walking paths wind through the flower fields, with various photo spots set up for visitors to take memorable pictures. The garden also hosts busking performances and other events.

Cheongsong-gun said it will keep the garden free of charge through November so that everyone can enjoy the beauty of the county's autumn scenery.

A county official expressed hope that the garden would "bring hope to residents who suffered through last year's wildfires and offer cherished memories to tourists visiting from outside the area."

Cheongsong-gun County Executive Yun Gyeong-hui said the county will continue to develop and operate Sansocafe Cheongsong Garden, "making Cheongsong a place people want to stay and want to come back to."
