Skies will remain mostly overcast across the country on Tuesday, with rain expected in parts of the central region through the morning.

Eastern Gyeonggi Province and Gangwon Province may see rain continue into the late afternoon.

Showers are forecast for the southern regions and Jeju Island between the afternoon and evening.

Expected rainfall totals are 10 to 60 millimeters for Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi Province and the West Sea Five Islands; 10 to 50 mm for Gangwon Province; 30 to 80 mm for western South Chungcheong Province, with more than 100 mm possible along the South Chungcheong coast; and 20 to 60 mm for Daejeon, Sejong, eastern South Chungcheong Province and North Chungcheong Province.

North Jeolla Province, Gwangju and South Jeolla Province can expect 5 to 40 mm, as can Daegu, North Gyeongsang Province, Busan, Ulsan and South Gyeongsang Province, while Jeju Island is forecast to receive 5 to 30 mm.

Residents in areas under rain forecasts should also watch for strong gusts, thunder and lightning.

Morning lows on Tuesday are forecast at 21 to 26 degrees Celsius, with afternoon highs of 25 to 34 degrees.
