Incheon's Yeonsu-gu has built an integrated data platform that consolidates local information in one place and supports policy planning, with operations set to begin in September.

The Yeonsu-gu Data Platform was developed to bring together data scattered across departments and affiliated agencies, improve residents' access to information and make greater use of data in administrative decision-making.

Yeonsu-gu is the first district-level local government in Incheon to officially operate an integrated data platform.

The platform lets users view local information across a range of fields — including public safety, welfare, transportation, education and the economy — through maps and graphs.

Key projects, population figures and everyday infrastructure can also be checked at a glance, with the latest data automatically updated through links to related systems.

During the platform's development, the district surveyed 2,607 residents on their policy needs and analyzed demographic shifts and complaint trends to identify characteristics specific to each neighborhood.

The analysis found that demand for transportation-related policies was relatively high in the Songdo area, while residents in the older downtown districts showed a stronger interest in cultural services.

The district plans to use these findings to inform future project planning, budget allocation and the development of new policies.

The Yeonsu-gu Data Platform is accessible through the district office's website and major portal search engines.
