SK Biopharm President Lee Dong-hoon has purchased 2,000 shares of the company's stock, the company said Monday.

The shares were acquired at an average price of 90,898 won ($66) per share, for a total of about 180 million won.

The purchase came the day after SK Biopharm announced its in-licensing of ovalicalmab at a press conference on Wednesday.

SK Biopharm plans to develop ovalicalmab as its next-generation global drug candidate, following cenobamate.

The company said the move reflects management's commitment to mid- to long-term growth, backed by cenobamate's steady expansion and next-generation growth drivers including ovalicalmab.

Ovalicalmab is a selective potassium channel Kv7 activator currently in Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials targeting adult patients with partial-onset seizures. If clinical and regulatory processes proceed as planned, SK Biopharm aims to launch the drug in the United States as early as 2029.

Yoo Chang-ho, head of the strategy division, who led the ovalicalmab licensing deal, also purchased 500 shares of company stock.
