175 positions open in second half
Recruitment briefing held Monday at Jung-gu headquarters
Industrial Bank of Korea announced Monday that it is launching its second-half open recruitment drive for new hires.
The bank plans to hire 175 people across four fields: 130 in general finance, 25 in IT, 15 for high school graduates and five in digital.
Having already hired 160 new employees in the first half of the year, the bank will bring its total youth hires for this year to 335 through this round of recruitment.
Applications will be accepted through Sept. 14, with candidates advancing through document screening, written exams, practical tests and interviews before final results are announced in early December.
To strengthen communication with applicants, the bank held a recruitment briefing Monday at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul. The session was also streamed live on the IBK YouTube channel.
Starting Tuesday, the bank will also visit major universities over a two-week period to hold on-campus briefings and provide firsthand information about job roles and the hiring process.
"We plan to strike a balance in selecting financial talent to support productive finance and digital and IT talent to lead the bank's AI transformation — all while providing quality jobs for many young people," a bank official said. "We look forward to strong interest and applications from capable individuals ready to drive change and innovation."
Meanwhile, in line with the government's inclusive finance policy, the bank plans to write off 120 billion won ($87.2 million) in long-term delinquent bonds by year-end.
