The Economy and Industry Committee of the Gyeongju City Council in North Gyeongsang Province visited three sites Friday — a sewage treatment plant, the Tapdong water purification plant and the New Agricultural Innovation Town — to inspect facility operations and project progress.

Committee members first toured the sewage treatment plant, reviewing overall operations and safety management while listening to on-site concerns. They then visited the Tapdong water purification plant, where they checked the water purification process and water quality management.

At the New Agricultural Innovation Town, members received a briefing on the project's progress and future plans, and discussed specific measures to strengthen the region's agricultural competitiveness and build a foundation for future farming.

Economy and Industry Committee Chairman Ju Dong-yeol said the committee would do its best to ensure that the upcoming administrative audit goes beyond formality and leads to substantive review and improvement, based on direct observations in the field and the range of opinions gathered.
