National Assembly member Park Hong-bae of the Democratic Party of Korea, who also serves as chair of the party's Sasang-gu chapter and Busan city chapter, announced Thursday that he will hold an opening ceremony for his new district office in Busan's Sasang-gu on Saturday.

Senior party figures, fellow Assembly members, local politicians, party members and residents are expected to attend the ceremony to mark the office's launch.

Park has been meeting with residents and party members to examine local issues since taking on the role of Sasang-gu chapter chair in late June. He plans to use the new office as a base to broaden communication with constituents and accelerate efforts to resolve pressing local concerns.

According to political circles, the office will serve as a hub connecting residents' voices to policy and legislative activity, and will work to find solutions to local issues. Park intends to work closely with the Busan city chapter, the national party leadership and the National Assembly to actively advance policies and projects that Sasang-gu needs, drawing on issues identified in the field.

"I will take care of everything properly — from Sasang's longstanding challenges to the everyday inconveniences residents face," Park said. "Change in Sasang will drive the development of western Busan and strengthen the city's competitiveness. I will listen more closely, work harder, and help create a new leap forward for Busan, starting right here in Sasang."
