Open Stage and flea market slots available for residents aged 19 to 39
Jongno-gu is accepting applications for the 2026 Jongno Youth Festival, "Culture Meets Youth in Jongno," to be held next month at Marronnier Park (104 Daehak-ro).
Timed to coincide with Youth Day Week, the event runs from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 12. It is designed to help young small-business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs expand their market reach, with a stage built and run entirely by young participants.
The district plans to open with a ceremony, followed by outdoor performances and a variety of hands-on booths, transforming Marronnier Park for the day into a cultural space shaped by the creativity of local youth.
Applications are open in two categories — Open Stage (outdoor performance) and flea market — and are open to residents between the ages of 19 and 39.
Young performers, whether individuals or groups, can apply online through the district office website by Friday. Each act should be prepared to perform for roughly 10 to 15 minutes and may include music, dance, theater, traditional Korean music, magic or other genres. Basic equipment — microphones, amplifiers and lighting — will be provided by the district.
Those wishing to participate as flea market sellers must submit the required documents by email to the Employment Policy Division by Sept. 3. Selected sellers will have the opportunity to promote and sell handmade goods, crafts, stationery, artisanal processed foods and agricultural products directly to visitors.
