The Korea Radioactive Waste Agency (KORAD) held a board ethics and integrity pledge ceremony at its headquarters in Gyeongju on Monday.

The ceremony was organized following recent changes to the board's composition, including the appointment of new non-standing directors and a non-standing auditor. It was intended to reaffirm the board's commitment to upholding ethical responsibilities as the agency's highest decision-making body and to putting integrity and ethical management into practice.

The chairperson and board members personally signed an ethics and integrity pledge that day, vowing to pursue fair and transparent decision-making, prevent conflicts of interest, and foster a culture of integrity within the organization.

"Through this pledge, all board members have come together with the shared resolve to make integrity a founding principle of how this agency operates," Chairperson Jo Seong-don said. "We will put fair and transparent decision-making into practice and work alongside our staff to build an organizational culture rooted in integrity."
