Site visits to environmental, aviation and port facilities, plus recruitment sessions and mentoring

The Korea Environment Corporation, under the Ministry of Climate, Environment and Energy, announced Wednesday that it will co-host a three-day "Youth Intern JOB TOUR" from Wednesday through Friday with the Metropolitan Landfill Site Management Corporation, Incheon International Airport Corporation and Incheon Port Authority to strengthen the employment skills of youth interns in the Incheon area.

The program brings together about 30 youth interns working across the four public institutions to tour key industrial sites at each organization and share recruitment information and job-hunting tips from recent hires.

On the first day, participants visit the Korea Environment Corporation's integrated control center for aging vehicles and the Metropolitan Landfill Site Management Corporation's landfill site to learn about core operations and facilities in the environmental and waste management sectors.

The second day features a visit to Incheon International Airport Corporation, where interns tour the promotional hall of Incheon Airport's Terminal 2 and its landside facilities. They then board the Eco Nuri, an Incheon Port Authority harbor guidance vessel and Asia's first LNG-fueled ship, to experience eco-friendly maritime technology and observe cargo-handling operations and lock facilities at the inner harbor.

On the final day, a joint recruitment fair will be held at Incheon National University's Michuhol Campus. Hiring managers from each institution will explain their recruitment systems, job roles and application requirements. Participants will also exchange career information through mentoring sessions with senior employees and networking among the interns themselves.

Cha Gwang-myeong, managing director of planning at the Korea Environment Corporation, said the initiative "will serve as a model of cooperation in which leading public institutions in the Incheon region have come together to provide young people with practical employment support." He added that the corporation would "continue to invigorate the regional network and pursue a range of collaborative projects to nurture local talent and support youth employment."
