Incheon's Yeongjong-gu will launch a new public bus route tailored to ease transportation difficulties for students during after-school hours.
The district announced Tuesday that it will introduce public bus route Yeongjong 5-6 starting Monday.
The new route addresses the commuting hardships faced by students who had to travel long distances after school due to inadequate public transit connections between schools and residential areas.
Unlike standard residential circulation routes, Yeongjong 5-6 is designed to run in direct alignment with after-school dismissal times, linking schools and key residential areas without detours.
The route departs Unso Middle School at 3:25 p.m. on weekdays, stopping at Unso 2nd SK View, Yeongjong Complex Cultural Center, LH Complex 7 and Halla Vivaldi before terminating at Haneul Elementary School.
The district expects the new service to significantly improve after-school transportation for Unso Middle School students who need to travel toward Yeongjong Haneul City.
