Chaevi, a domestic electric vehicle fast-charging infrastructure operator, announced Tuesday it had swept two awards at EV Awards 2026, taking home the minister's award in the "Korea's Charging Infrastructure CPO of the Year" category and the consumer-selected award in the charging infrastructure manufacturing category.

EV Awards is a flagship program of EV Trend Korea, a specialized exhibition for the electric vehicle industry. Since 2022, it has recognized outstanding technologies and products across the EV sector, including electric vehicles and charging infrastructure. This year's awards were judged by a panel of industry experts and consumers, with 10 companies selected across 12 categories covering electric vehicles and charging infrastructure.

Chaevi won the minister's award in the charging infrastructure CPO category, selected through a scoring system that weighted expert evaluations at 80 percent and consumer votes at 20 percent. The company was recognized for its charger manufacturing technology, infrastructure management capabilities and customer-focused service competitiveness.

As South Korea's top-ranked CPO, Chaevi operates and manages approximately 10,000 fast-charging spots nationwide and became the first domestic charging infrastructure operator to list on Kosdaq, in April. The company also leverages accumulated operational data to identify optimal charging station locations and forecast demand. Building on that foundation, it is developing high-utilization, operationally efficient charging infrastructure while advancing next-generation ultra-fast charging solutions through megawatt charging system (MCS) development and AI-powered operating software.

Following the minister's award, Chaevi also claimed the consumer-selected prize in the charging infrastructure manufacturing category for its next-generation megawatt-class ultra-fast charging platform, CHAEVI MCS. The platform delivers up to 2.2 MW of output and incorporates technology designed to achieve a full charge in under five minutes.

"We will continue to advance our charging technology and customer-centered services based on our on-the-ground operational experience, and provide electric vehicle users with a more convenient and reliable charging environment."

Chaevi is participating in EV Trend Korea 2026, running through Thursday at COEX in Seoul, where it is showcasing its key technologies and services. Visitors to the Chaevi booth can experience the company's range of services — from charging to rest amenities — through a consumer engagement program called the Stamp Tour.

Meanwhile, Chaevi has been actively expanding its nationwide fast-charging network, most recently being selected as the preferred negotiating partner for Korea Expressway Corporation's 2026 highway rest-stop electric vehicle charging station construction project (Unit 2).
