An AI-generated menu reportedly used by a Korean restaurant in Canada has gone viral online.

A post recently circulated on social media showing a photo of the menu, with the author writing that they had visited a Korean restaurant and been shocked by what they described as an AI-generated menu.

“The friend I went with said it made them nauseous just looking at it — they squinted their way through picking something and then flipped the menu face-down,” the author wrote.

The naengmyeon pictured in the menu is barely recognizable as a real dish. The noodles in particular are arranged in an unnervingly uniform, geometric pattern.

Commenters reacted with bewilderment. “Is that chain mail?” one wrote. Others called it “food from Earth as imagined by an alien civilization” and “proof that AI is only as dumb as the person using it.” One commenter added that the cost of driving away customers would far outweigh any savings.
