Hyosung Heavy Industries announced Tuesday that it is participating in the CIGRE Paris Session 2026 — organized by the International Council on Large Electric Systems — running Monday through Friday in Paris, France.

The CIGRE Paris Session is the world's largest academic conference and exhibition for the power industry, drawing more than 10,000 professionals and leading global companies from over 100 countries to set technical standards and chart the future of the sector.

At this year's exhibition, Hyosung Heavy Industries is presenting a "total solution" spanning next-generation power technologies from high-voltage direct current (HVDC) long-distance, large-capacity transmission to solid-state transformer (SST) DC distribution for data centers. The company is also making the global debut of its proprietary 420kV SF₆-Free GIS (gas-insulated switchgear, spring type), using the unveiling to highlight its carbon-reduction capabilities to a European market that places a premium on carbon neutrality.

Additional products on display include a voltage-source HVDC system; a semiconductor transformer (SST) — a key data center power solution the company became the first in the world to develop in 2022; an eco-friendly insulating-oil transformer that uses biodegradable insulating oil to reduce environmental impact; and ARMOUR+, an AI-based power asset management platform.

On Wednesday, the company will host the "Future Grid Insight Forum," a technical forum for major global customers. Now in its third edition since launching in 2022, this year's forum will be held under the theme "Grid Transformation and Challenges: Expansion, Sustainability and Resilience," with panel discussions by power industry experts from the United States, Europe and Australia covering responses to surging electricity demand and strategies for operating future power grids.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday the company invited key global customers from 35 organizations across 18 countries to a "Hyosung Day Gala Dinner" to share industry trends and strengthen business networks.
