Porsche Korea announced Tuesday it will hold a special exhibition titled "K-Heritage Art Exhibition: Line of Connection" at Nakseonjae, within the UNESCO World Heritage site of Changdeokgung Palace, from Sept. 1 to 6, spotlighting the value of intangible cultural heritage.

The exhibition is part of "Porsche Future Heritage," a corporate social responsibility program Porsche Korea has run since 2022, aimed at supporting the preservation and transmission of national intangible heritage and reexamining the value of traditional culture through a contemporary lens.

The event is organized in partnership with the Changdeokgung Management Office under the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center, social enterprise Savers Korea, and the Korea Heritage Cultural Foundation. Visitors to Changdeokgung during the exhibition period may view the works at no additional charge beyond the palace admission fee.

Held under the theme "Mongno — Standing on the Path of Dreams," the exhibition connects the journeys of traditional craftspeople — including holders and recipients of national intangible heritage designations — through a single symbolic "line." Bringing together the perspectives of heritage artisans and contemporary artists, the show aims to convey heritage as a bridge between past and present, and across generations and cultures.

A total of 48 participants — including national intangible heritage holders and recipients alongside contemporary artists — will present more than 160 works spanning traditional crafts, painting, installation and photography.

The exhibition spaces stretch from Nakseonjae through Seokbokheon and Sugangjae, arranged so visitors can experience works ranging from traditional transmission to modern reinterpretation as a single continuous flow. A special collaborative piece created by intangible heritage holders and Porsche Korea using mother-of-pearl inlay, lacquer and gold-leaf techniques will also be on display.

Matthias Buse, president of Porsche Korea, said heritage for Porsche is "not something that stays in the past, but a driving force that creates new dreams and possibilities." He added that he hopes the exhibition will serve as "a meaningful occasion to encounter the dreams and journeys of artisans who have walked a single path for so long, and for that value to carry forward as the dreams of the next generation."

Meanwhile, Porsche Korea continues to expand its customer touchpoints through a range of marketing activities, including "Porsche Vibe Seoul" — the country's first and largest Porsche fan festival — scheduled for Oct. 3 and 4 at the Culture Tank complex.
