Lotte Global Logistics said Tuesday that its employees made upcycled massage rollers during a volunteer activity and donated the finished products to elderly residents in the local community.

The massage rollers are an eco-friendly product made from discarded sock-top offcuts generated during sock production. The company said it organized the activity to practice the values of resource recycling and community sharing at the same time.

The completed rollers were delivered Monday to a senior welfare center in Seoul and distributed to elderly residents and others in need.

"We hope the massage rollers will be of real help to the elderly," a Lotte Global Logistics official said. "We will continue to pursue meaningful volunteer activities that combine giving and environmental protection."

To fulfill its corporate social responsibility, Lotte Global Logistics has been carrying out a range of eco-friendly community initiatives with its employees, including used-toy donation drives and black-faced spoonbill habitat conservation efforts.

Meanwhile, the company has also been actively developing eco-friendly solutions, recently introducing a new service that applies an eco-friendly packaging material called Recop to the delivery of Marine Corps uniforms.
