KT Corp will double its intake of new college graduates this year, offering a rare bright spot for job seekers struggling in the AI era.

The company said it will accept applications from Tuesday through Sept. 7 via its recruitment website, where details on open positions and the selection schedule are also available.

The three hiring tracks are network infrastructure operations, B2B consulting and sales, and B2C marketing and sales.

These roles sit at the front lines of KT Corp's customer-facing and business operations — covering stable network infrastructure management and the delivery of tailored services to both corporate and individual customers. The company said it doubled the size of this graduate recruitment round to strengthen its workforce in key field positions.

Beyond job-specific expertise, the ability to apply AI in real work settings will be a key evaluation criterion. Assessors will look holistically at the knowledge and problem-solving skills each role demands in practice.

Rather than testing abstract knowledge of AI technology, the company will present candidates with situations they are likely to encounter on the job and assess how they use AI to work through them. As AI reshapes how work is done across the board, the ability to apply it to solve problems and improve workflows — even within the same role — is becoming increasingly important, the company said.

KT Corp said it will not judge applicants on credentials alone. The selection process will take a comprehensive look at each candidate's experience — the situations they faced, the roles they played, what they tried in order to solve problems, and what results they achieved.

New hires will receive structured education and growth opportunities to build job expertise systematically. The company also plans to help them develop the ability to apply AI in their day-to-day work alongside that professional foundation.
