Yeongdeungpo-gu launched a mobile complaint office Monday, sending District Mayor Jo Yu-jin directly into the community to hear residents' concerns in person through Oct. 21.

The initiative — titled "Visiting Field Complaint Office" — is designed to share the district's governing vision of "Constitutional City Yeongdeungpo" with residents while gathering firsthand accounts of everyday inconveniences, grievances and policy proposals to feed into district administration and budget planning.

Each session brings together the district mayor, local Seoul Metropolitan Council and district council lawmakers, representatives of major civic organizations and relevant department heads. Officials will respond to residents' questions on the spot and work to identify solutions.

Proposals that prove feasible and warrant action will receive priority consideration when the district drafts its 2027 main budget, with the aim of translating community input into tangible policy outcomes residents can feel.

Alongside this, the district is continuing its broader outreach through a parent communication forum targeting elementary, middle and high schools in the area; an open residents' forum for apartment complexes; and a community dialogue session for redevelopment and reconstruction zones.

"This mobile complaint office is an expression of our commitment to treat even the smallest voice from residents' daily lives as the driving force of district governance," Jo said. "The valuable comments and suggestions shared by residents will be actively reflected in the 2027 budget, so that we can realize a district government where residents are the true owners."

Residents can share anything related to Yeongdeungpo-gu — from everyday inconveniences and policy proposals to ideas — by sending a text message to the district mayor's direct resident hotline at 010-6400-8450 (text only).
